112 Markets Gear Up to Distribute Premium Rice

We're distributing 5-10 tons of premium rice per day at every market

112 markets will be prepared to distribute premium rice in the market operation programmed by the government.

PD Pasar Jaya President Director, Arief Nasrudin disclosed Jakarta Provincial Government through PD Pasar Jaya along with the central government is committed to maintain stabilization of rice prices in the community.

"The commitment is realized by intensifying markets to sell premium rice type IR at affordable price, which is Rp 9,300 per kg," he expressed, Wednesday (1/10).

At the beginning of market operations begins, his uttered prepares 13 markets that sell premium rice. Then in second stage, there would be 74 markets and 112 markets in the third stage.

In its distribution, his party does not become an executor (seller) but involves the peddlers in PD Pasar Jaya and his cooperative to sell rice to people at a price set by the government.

"We're distributing 5-10 tons of premium rice per day at every market. If the demand is high, distribution will be added. So don't need to worry," he told.

Yani (65), one of rice peddlers at Santa Market, Kebayoran Baru expressed he was very grateful with the market operation.

"Peddlers and buyers are greatly helped by market operation," he uttered.
